About me
I’m an artist who paints with instinct, speed and lived experience to create sensitive, vibrant works that tell stories through place.
I’m not interested in making photographic records. I paint my own interpretation of what I see, searching for the soul of a place: the part that is felt before it is understood.
When I look closely at the branches of a tree, a stretch of water, or light falling across a building, I notice what might otherwise be missed. My work invites others to do the same: to look again, to find beauty in the overlooked, and to feel more deeply connected to the world around them.
I want people to experience my paintings in person: to sit with them, feel their presence, and recognise something true in the light, contrast and colour.
Through my painting, I will honour places and how they make you feel, and that people genuinely connect with, creating work that helps people feel seen and recognised.
I want people to see a place they know, feel it has been fully honoured, and leave with something that stays with them.
I have painted since childhood and always intended to pursue an artistic career. After nearly twenty years as a graphic designer, I have recently transitioned to painting full‑time, encouraged by the experience gained through The Springline Project and the opportunity provided by a voluntary redundancy.
